Poker Three - the Easiest Card Game Around

If you think that Poker is only for those who can figure out pot odds and "read" other people, well, it's not: there are some variants of the game specially designed for people who just want to play a simple game and win big money.

One of the most popular in casinos today is Poker Three. There are actually two versions of this game that you can play. The first is called Pair Plus, and it is probably the easiest variant of the game ever made. You just place your bet, and the dealer gives you the cards.

You then get paid based on what you hold: for a pair you are paid on a ratio of 1 is to 1; a flush 4 to 1; straight 6 to 1, three of a kind 30 to 1 and a 40 to 1 payout for a straight flush.

Of course, the winning combinations for this Poker Three game will vary from casino to casino, but the basic play is the same. As such, there are no strategies necessary and no opponents. It's just you and Lady Luck.

The other version of Poker Three is called Ante and Play. Here the game begins when you put up the ante. That is the first bet. Next you get a card, and you have to decide if you want to play on or surrender. If you fold, you lose the ante. If you want to play one, you will call and put in another wager equivalent to the initial ante.

After you call, as per Poker Three rules, you and the dealer will compare cards. If you win, you are paid even for both ante and bet. If the dealer has a better hand you lose both. If there is a tie, there is no exchange of money. It should be noted that in most cases the dealer must have a Queen; if not the player will just get an even payout for the ante.

In most Poker Three games, there are special bonuses given by casinos. If you have a straight you get a 1:1 pay, for a three of a kind, it's 4:1 and a straight flush gives you 5:1.

Poker Three is not as widely known as the other variants, but if you are in a casino, you should make it a point to go and try it, because, not only is it easy and fun, but the potential payouts is huge, especially when you need to exert very little effort, strategy wise.
